Executive Accomplishments in Business Leadership & Direct Cost Reduction
  • Successfully negotiated vendor contracts increasing service levels and reducing costs by $3.8MM in 2006

  • Increased company quarterly internet sales and transaction by $452MM through the conceptualization,
    implementation, and marketing of customer online fraud prevention strategy

  • Won Visa and Master Card's awards for the best in industry system availability (99.9995% uptime) and
    fastest transaction response time (.08 seconds)  for three (3) straight years

  • Flattened 2005 & 2006 budgets (over previous years) while significantly enhancing the quality of service
    provided to the business units by implementing streamlined processes, saving $23.7MM

  • Initiated and led efforts to partially out source IT functions, saving $14.4MM in operation budget and $5.8
    MM in project budget in first year or implementation

  • Saved the company $20.2MM in fraud avoidance in 2002 through the recognition and implementation of
    aggressive system enhancements, credit manager/fraud strategies, and vendor management that closed
    serious security gap within the system



Executive Accomplishments in Project Management
  • Centralized and re-aligned PMO dept with functional business units helping to decrease project time lines
    while also increasing the capability to project IT workload 12-18 months in advance

  • Managed the PMO dept which implemented 132 projects estimating $32.7MM in cost during 2008

  • Successfully implemented more than $10.3MM in defect-free projects in 2002, all of which were on time and
    on budget utilizing SIX SIGMA principles

  • Launched Six Sigma and an innovation program initializing ITIL

  • Established IT and corporate governance processes which has significantly improved project management
    work flow and business processes

  • Managed the governance and compliance departments for two Fortune 50 companies; helping to ensure  
    compliance with SOX, government, and other regulatory requirements/mandates


Executive Accomplishments in Application/System Development and Management
  • Enhanced customer base and revenue by $20MM through the developed and executed three-tiered
    information systems rebuilding action plan, a commitment to current systems stabilization, while launching a
    $12MM ERP systems development initiative that supports the long-term business plan of the enterprise

  • Managed and turned around three (3) failing Oracle 10i projects that were being managed by other
    departments and outside vendors, with a total budget of $19.8MM, my managing and turn around of these
    projects saved the company $7.2MM in additional cost and $4.3MM in annual cost

  • Initiated the concept and pioneered the design, development, and market launch of an advanced
    technology Collections System which replaced nine (9) Collections systems, saving $18.1MM in annual
    maintenance

  • Directed the conceptualization and implementation of virtual credit card to enhance fraud prevention,
    increasing  holiday internet transaction sales by $182MM over previous year

  • Managed the co-development and implementation of a $4.5MM centralized JDA UNIX (SCO) ERP which
    streamlined the business processes of 550+ high transaction retail stores and four distribution centers



Executive Accomplishments in Infrastructure
  • Responsible for ensuring the safety and soundness of  10,000+ desktops, 16 IBM Z9 mainframes, 700+
    Microsoft and UNIX servers, teradata warehouses and the data and voice network, and 6 full scale data
    centers

  • Managed the conversion of teredata warehouse of Customer Database from VSAM to DB2, which came in
    27% under budget, a $1.12MM savings.  This conversion has allowed for a centralized repository for all
    customer data, increased flexibility and functionality in customer-related systems, and also served as the
    foundation for the companies CRM and Business Intelligence platforms

  • Increased corporate wide confidence in MIS Department by analyzing and negotiating company-wide
    contracts then initiating an effective competitive bidding process with all external vendors. Reduced overall
    company infrastructure vendor cost 50% annually from $1.23MM to $603K



Executive Accomplishments in Architecture & Information Management (Data Management)
  • Manage the Enterprise Application Architecture and Informational Management team overseeing the
    enterprise framework for all application development throughout the credit card and retail banking
    divisions.  Ensure the utilization of the enterprise common and shared services governance standards

  • Integrated the applications, networks, telecommunications and data center infrastructure inherited from
    eight (8) acquisitions and established a PMO and related Product Life Cycle dep.
